Funerals & Memorial Services
Funerals and Memorial Services at Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church are Christian worship services that praise God for Christ's promise of resurrection and eternal life. These services also celebrate the lives of loved ones who have died and entrust them into God's never-failing care.
On behalf of the Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church family, the pastor has the privilege of sharing Christian love, care, and sympathy with those who have lost loved ones. Please contact the church office as soon as you learn of the loss of a loved one.
In order to arrange for Funerals and Memorial Services on the Bee Ridge Presbyterian campus, the pastor coordinates the scheduling of the buildings and people that work together to plan and lead the worship services and receptions. Before deciding upon a date for a service with the funeral home, newspaper, etc., please check with the pastor so he can schedule a date on the church calendar for which family, pastor, sanctuary, and fellowship hall will all be available.
Funeral and Memorial Services are a very meaningful part of Bee Ridge's ministry and we are very thankful that we can celebrate God's promise of resurrection with families whose loved ones have died. "In Life and in Death We Belong to God!"
With believers in every time and place, we can rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ. Bee Ridge's Memorial Garden is a beautiful place of comfort and peace. Loved ones who have been cremated can have their cremains interred in Bee Ridge's Garden.
The Garden is landscaped with Florida flowers and plants, has concrete walks, benches and a granite monument with a cross to remind us of Christ's triumph over death. Attached to bronze plaques on all sides of the monument are name plates that identify loved ones whose cremains have been entrusted to God's care in the Garden. The Memorial Garden is a special place to remember, meditate, and trust in God's care for loved ones who have died. The Garden is designed to complete the circle of Christian ministry from birth to death while trusting in God's eternal care. Every Easter morning begins with our Easter Sunrise Worship Service in this beautiful Memorial Garden.
